A leading North‑West accountancy and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its growing payroll bureau team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2 years' bureau experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and enjoys delivering a high‑quality service to a varied client base.

You will support a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery across multiple pay frequencies. Responsibilities include:

  • Processing high‑volume payroll data and maintaining accurate records
  • Calculating net pay, statutory payments and deductions
  • Managing FPS/EPS submissions and liaising with HMRC
  • Preparing BACS files and notifying clients of PAYE liabilities
  • Supporting month‑end and year‑end reporting, including P45/P46
  • Handling pension uploads, auto‑enrolment tasks and provider liaison
  • Monitoring HMRC downloads (tax codes, student loans, opt‑outs)
  • Maintaining confidentiality and compliance at all times

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a payroll bureau
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Confident communicator with a client‑focused approach
  • Positive, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Keen to develop professionally
  • CIPP study support available
