Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (RMCH) is a large tertiary children’s hospital providing services across three Manchester sites. We are recruiting a Band 5 paediatric dietitian for an 11‑month fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. The role involves delivering evidence‑based, high‑quality care to infants, children and young people in inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Paediatric dietetic experience is not required; we will fully support your development. A genuine interest, enthusiasm, and a commitment to working with children and families are essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload of children and young people with diverse nutritional needs, under appropriate supervision.
- Undertake comprehensive dietetic assessment, care planning and evaluation using evidence‑based practice.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective patient care and discharge planning.
- Communicate clearly and sensitively with children, families and carers.
- Contribute to service development, audit, education and training, including supporting student dietitians.
- Actively engage in continuing professional development and supervision.
Qualifications & Experience
