Salary: £90‑£110 per day
Employment Type: Full Time / Part Time, Monday to Friday
Are you a compassionate and patient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Cover People are recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism within a welcoming primary school in North Manchester.

Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with Autism throughout the school day
- Support the child's communication, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning
- Build a positive and trusting relationship to help the child feel safe and supported
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement tailored support strategies
- Adapt activities and learning approaches to meet individual needs
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
- Support during transitions, classroom activities, and unstructured times where needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs (preferred but not essential)
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient in different situations
- Passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
