The Acute Occupational Therapy Team at North Manchester Hospital are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, team player to undertake the role of Occupational Therapy Rehabilitation Assistant as part of the Orthopaedic Team at North Manchester General.
The post holder will work under the direction, guidance and supervision of the registered Occupational Therapists, to support the delivery of an effective Occupational Therapy service, early patient assessment and safe and timely discharges.
Responsibilities- Support Occupational Therapists in completing patient assessments.
- Order equipment and assist with community visits to support discharges.
- Converse with ward teams, professionals, patients and their families or carers.
- Assist in early patient assessment and safe timely discharges.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in IT equipment and confidence using the telephone.
