Provide a specialist service to advise and promote evidence‑based practice for patients with complex nutritional needs and/or requiring nutrition support within the GI Medicine delivery across Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust sites.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and collaboratively within the nutrition support team to deliver effective clinical nutrition advice and support.
- Motivate staff and act as a professional role model to maintain high standards of evidence‑based clinical nutritional care.
- Deliver expert clinical advice on nutrition care and nutrition support to multidisciplinary colleagues, patients and their families.
- Develop and support specialist education and training programmes for health‑care professionals and other relevant groups in partnership with nutrition nurse colleagues across the Trust.
- Engage collaboratively across North Manchester General Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital, and Trafford General Hospital to promote consistency of care, shared learning, and flexibility in job planning.
