We are looking for a resourceful and energetic multi‑skilled operative to join our expanding team at North Manchester General. This role showcases expertise in an ever‑changing environment, supporting and fixing issues across the site to ensure visitors, workers, and patients receive the same great experience.

The duties include:

  • Analysis to resolve technical issues
  • Liaising with stakeholders and clinical staff
  • Carrying out robust estates maintenance and repair work on hospital equipment
  • Installation of electrical, mechanical, carpentry, landscaping, constructive services and hardware
  • Ensuring compliance with service level agreements and quality standards
  • Prioritising workload to improve the hospital environment
  • Performing planned preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance and repair of mechanical systems
  • Training on new systems

Safe manual handling of equipment in potentially hazardous conditions (switch/plant rooms, workshops, confined spaces, heat, cold, wet, and dirty environments) is expected, in accordance with H&S and Codes of Practice.
