This post is for 20 hours per week Undergraduate Medical Education. It offers protected time to develop teaching, curriculum delivery and educational governance skills, with no clinical service commitment. The Fellow will support Years 3 and 5 medical students during placements and contribute to teaching delivery, student support, assessment and placement organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver small‑group teaching, case‑based discussions, clinical skills and examination teaching, and seminar‑based sessions across clinical and education settings.
  • Provide supplementary teaching for Years 3 and 5 medical students.
  • Assist with teaching of other undergraduate year groups as required.
  • Support placement organisation, timetabling and student allocation.
  • Liaise with clinical teams, university partners and education administrators.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching materials and online resources.
  • Provide supervision, feedback and pastoral support to students.
  • Contribute to assessment and evaluation processes.
  • Support learners with identified educational needs.
  • Participate in educational audit, evaluation and quality improvement.
  • Support innovation in undergraduate education delivery.

Qualifications

  • Qualified medical doctor with at least two years of general professional training.
  • Strong interest in medical education.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
