The post-holder is responsible for the provision of high quality and comprehensive day-to-day clinical, administrative and clerical support within the Radiotherapy department. Carry out delegated clinical, administrative and clerical support and ensure appropriate care, information and support is given to all patients and their carers.

Provide comprehensive support for treatment machines, pre-treatment imaging, mould room and out-patient clinics held within The Christie network, managing workload efficiently to achieve a high standard of patient care. Provide reception cover for the department, collate, input and analyse relevant patient data while problem solving and communicating effectively.

Work under the direction of the medical team to undertake routine and specifically identified tasks after training and competencies have been completed, including:

  • Patient observations
  • Phlebotomy
  • Urinalysis
  • ECG
  • Glucometer readings
  • Changing simple dressings

Contribute to the efficient running of the service and work within The Christie NHS Foundation Trust policies and Health & Safety legislation.

Completion of the Christie Care Certificate is mandated in this post.
