About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Longsight. This is a full-time role starting immediately, working closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs. You will support children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum, develop key skills, and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment

Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting
  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and support strategies
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
