Responsibilities
- Provide visible leadership to monitor and maintain professional high standards and deliver professional development of nurses and allied health professionals at all levels within the Clinical Group.
- Act as an integral part of the Divisional Management Team in Newborn Services, supporting the delivery of key objectives related to NMAHP and the Division.
- Lead improvement work streams and projects aligned with the Trust strategy and Clinical Group objectives.
- Support the “One MFT” clinical leadership approach, fostering collaboration with multi‑professional colleagues.
- Engage with Trust corporate colleagues to support research and innovation agendas within the Clinical Group.
- Provide clinical and professional leadership and line management to nursing and AHP staff across the Care Division.
- Accountable to the Care Division’s Head of Nursing, delivering visible leadership across the clinical service setting, monitoring and maintaining professional standards.
- Participate in the delivery of clinical governance and statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the Care Division.
- Support the Head of Nursing in setting nursing and AHP objectives that meet Trust strategic aims and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Band 8a or above nursing leader with proven track record of delivering high standards of governance, safety and service improvement.
- Inclusive, compassionate leadership demonstrated, with ability to inspire teams.
- Experience in maternity and newborn services, with knowledge of NMAHP and Trust strategy.
- Commitment to quality improvement, research and innovation and to high‑quality patient care.
