Duties:
- Lead the development of engineering-ready part lists and detailed specifications as the Lead Product/Application Engineer
- Maintain supplier quotes and manage supplier costing to optimise budgets
- Prepare order acknowledgements and documentation for customer approval
- Track quotation progress and report on customer conversion rates
- Liaise with clients regarding product specifications and technical requirements
- Facilitate effective communication between Sales, Engineering, and Production teams
- Sign off on build documentation and engineering specifications
- Manage product specifications within the engineering team
- Oversee high-value parts lists and product matrix control
- Prepare comprehensive sales quotations for customers and internal stakeholders
- Support team operations and undertake additional duties as required within your expertise
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Lead Product/Application Engineer, or similar role within manufacturing or vehicle bodybuilding sectors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to take ownership and guide cross-departmental teams
- Knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software with the ability to produce precise engineering plans
- Excellent organisational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- High attention to detail ensuring accuracy of documentation and regulatory compliance
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging confidently with clients and suppliers
- Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
