A vacancy at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust for an 8A Practitioner Psychologist (0.8 WTE) Band 7 preceptorship may be available within The Christie Hospital Psycho‑Oncology department. This role is suitable for candidates with experience in physical health settings, ideally cancer care, with the prospect of a Band 7 preceptorship for less experienced candidates.

Join a multi‑disciplinary team supporting patients with cancer, working with a principal clinical psychologist and other psycho‑oncology team members. Provide direct clinical work and contribute to MDT working, including screening and supporting emotional distress related to living with and beyond cancer. Possibility of training and supervising non‑psychology staff for screening and emotional care. Engage in system‑level initiatives to improve psychological aspects of cancer care across Christie Hospital and Greater Manchester. Co‑operate with the wider MDT to inform patient pathways and connect with mental health services. Participate in service evaluation, audit, research and educational sessions within GMMH Foundation Trust.
