An opportunity has arisen for a permanent role (with option of secondment) in Greater Manchester Sector for a Group Manager. The Group Manager will assume responsibility for local operational service delivery, acting on behalf of, and deputising for the Sector Manager within their group of stations.
They will have responsibility for:
- Resource management and planning (rostering of resources)
- Fleet and estates management
- Financial management within their group of stations
- Staff welfare support and management
- Implementation of health and wellbeing measures
- Managing and overseeing absence management procedures
- Ensuring staff are appropriately trained, paid correctly, and have access to necessary kit, equipment, and vehicles
- Maintaining the health and wellbeing of the staff
The Group Manager will also support the clinical lead with duty of candour and work closely with the Sector Clinical Lead to deliver against clinical performance within their group.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed. We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need. Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident. We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West.
