Pay: £102-£115 per day Start date: September 2026 Expected End date: End of the 2026/27 academic year A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Fallowfield, Manchester is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, communication needs, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Supporting classroom learning and helping pupils engage with activities.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging confidence and independence.
- Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning activities and interventions.
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Be a recent graduate with an interest in education, child development, psychology, or a related field.
- Have experience working with children through volunteering, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or similar roles (desirable).
- Be patient, resilient, and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Have excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Have the right to work in the UK and full‑time availability.
- Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable).
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, childcare, or youth work (desirable).
