Our team is expanding. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on grilling techniques. This role is essential for ensuring that our guests receive high-quality meals in a timely manner, while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to menu specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout the shift
- Assist with all kitchen stations as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Participate in inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience with a focus on grill cooking is required
- Culinary experience or relevant qualifications would be advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is required
- Experience in a fast paced restaurant environment is highly desirable
- Strong skills in meal preparation and serving techniques
Licence/Certification: Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
