Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in the unit and promote vascular surgical services internally and externally.
  • Provide a full programme of elective and emergency conventional and endovascular surgical services, including elective varicose vein surgery.
  • Work within a proposed job plan comprising 10 planned activity slots (PAs), including on-call, core and development sessions, patient administration and unit meetings.
  • Lead hybrid theatre sessions and hub and spoke clinics.
  • Support level three training for all aspects of Vascular Surgery in collaboration with the existing consultant team.
  • Promote cross-disciplinary working relationships, particularly in endovascular surgery.

  • Broad experience in conventional vascular surgery and endovascular techniques.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality surgical care and contribute to training and development.
  • Commitment to maintaining clinical excellence and patient safety.
