We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individuals to join our team at Wythenshawe Hospital who will rotate between sites to provide Cardiac Diagnostic Services both in a large tertiary centre and the community setting. The department offers a full spectrum of invasive and non‑invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations and is committed to developing staff and actively creating new roles for service provision. Our mission is to improve the health/quality of life for our patients by building an organisation that develops and invests in the individuals who work here.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified Cardiac Physiologists in performing all aspects of non‑invasive cardiac diagnostic services and providing some aspects in the community.
  • Undertake a range of duties that involve direct patient care as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in meeting the psychological, social, physical and spiritual needs of all patients.
  • Discuss relevant issues with patients concerning their diagnostic investigations.
  • Actively participate in diagnostic investigations that form part of the patient’s care and treatment plan.
  • Develop new skills to enhance patient diagnosis.
  • Perform and report a range of non‑invasive cardiac procedures: resting ECG, multi‑modality cardiac arrhythmia monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, patient preparation and physiological monitoring during cardiac and cardiorespiratory exercise tests, and assist in LINQ implant management and remote monitoring communication.
  • Maintain accurate written patient records.
  • Contribute towards the maintenance of local and Trust‑wide standards of care.
  • Assist in organising day‑to‑day service operations and identify risk issues related to patient health and social care.
