Salary & Hours
- 37 hours per week: £33,746 a year
- 39 hours per week: £35,875 a year (includes 20% unsocial pay)
- 41 hours per week: £38,003 a year

Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years at commencement of employment
- Meet Civil Service nationality requirements
- Pass a medical and fitness assessment, including eyesight and hearing standards
- Tattoos may be permitted provided they are not offensive, discriminatory, violent or intimidating; facial tattoos are generally not acceptable unless for cultural, religious or medical reasons.
- Must hold a suitable right to work in the UK (Skilled Worker visa sponsorship may be available, subject to eligibility and UK Immigration Rules)

- Communicate and influence all staff and inmates effectively.
- Manage the provision of a quality service within the prison.
- Make effective decisions and exercise sound judgement.
- Provide care and support to prisoners in line with policy.
Recruitment Process
Applicants will undergo a staged assessment process: an online numerical and judgement test (Stage 1), a values‑based assessment (Stage 2), an online assessment centre (OAC), written responses to behavioural questions, and a medical and fitness test including eyesight, hearing and health screening. Successful candidates will be offered a role and invited to complete training.
