Hours:

  • 1st position: Full Time, 32.17 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • 2nd Position: Part Time, 20 hours per week (3 days a week)

Contract: Term Time only 1 TE day, Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2028

Salary: TA1 (Pts 3-4) £25,185 - £25,583 per annum pro rata

Start date: 1st September 2026

The Chase is looking to appoint two motivated and supportive Learning Support Assistants (also known as Teaching Assistant Level 1), to work with students across Key Stages 3 & 4. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and learning activities in the classroom;
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, particularly in core subjects;
  • Assist with classroom organisation and resources;
  • Provide support for students with additional needs, including SEND;
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement across the school.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A caring, patient and positive attitude;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills;
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by secondary-aged students;
  • A willingness to learn and follow instructions;
  • Experience working in a school environment or with young people (desirable but not essential).
