Clinical Support Worker to join the team at Greenways Assessment & Treatment Unit in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The ward is an open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week inpatient unit for adults with learning disabilities. The role involves assisting in physical and psychological care to patients and working within an enthusiastic and supportive team.

The Clinical Support Workers (CSW) are part of the staff team responsible for assisting in the physical and psychological care to patients.

Location: Macclesfield, SK11 8HE

Role details:

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Hours: Full time
  • Shifts: 11.5 hour shifts, including both days and nights (Days 07:30-20:00 and Nights 19:30-08:00)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the physical and psychological care of patients.
  • Work with adults with learning disabilities as part of an open and supportive team.
  • Support admissions for short-term stays for people with learning disabilities and complex needs requiring a period of intensive assessment, treatment and/or therapy within an inpatient unit.

Qualifications and qualities:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and patients.
  • Ideally experience in a care setting with learning disabilities.
  • A willingness to participate in training and development; access to a range of paid training courses.

Compensation and career development:

The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Foundation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.
