Hays Education is looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to inspire and support young people across the beautiful coastal town of Lytham St. Whether you’re seeking flexible day-to-day supply work, longer-term roles, or a permanent position, we’ve got opportunities year-round thanks to our trusted partnerships with secondary schools across the UK. Your new role

  • Supervise classes during the teacher's absence.
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans with opportunities to cover specialised subjects such as maths, science, English and P.E.
  • Maintain classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with their work as required.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • You do not need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or subject specialism for the role.
  • Experience working with young people either in a school setting or other environments such as youth care, social care, charity work or mentoring.
  • Experience in behavioural management.
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive in supporting schools at short notice.
  • The right to work in the UK with an enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.
