Role Overview

Support Worker (Full time / Part time) – Location: Warrington, WA13 (15 minute walk from Lymm).

A valid UK / EU driving licence (manual or automatic) is essential.

Role Summary

We are looking for Support Workers to join our brand‑new service in Lymm, Warrington, supporting three young men as they transition to their first independent home.

This role offers a unique chance to shape a warm, supportive home and to make a lasting impact during a pivotal stage of their lives.

Each gentleman has a learning disability and autism and will be focusing on growing independence, building confidence, developing daily living skills and achieving personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support routines and daily living skills.
  • Encourage independence at a pace suited to each person.
  • Support communication and emotional reassurance.
  • Help plan activities and community involvement.
  • Assist with cooking, meals and appointments.
  • Celebrate achievements, big and small.

Shift pattern: Long Day 7am – 10pm; Early 7am – 2:30pm; Late 2:30pm – 10pm.

Waking night 10pm – 7am.

Availability to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) is expected to maintain continuity of care.

  • Experience in care or support work is helpful but not essential; attitude, enthusiasm and values are most important.
  • Understanding of the importance of consistency, encouragement and building trusting relationships, particularly with autistic people and individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Belief in people’s potential and desire to help them grow in confidence, independence and happiness.
