We are looking to recruit experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering department with sound electrical, mechanical and maintenance engineering service to improve production operating efficiencies.

Main Duties

  • Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.
  • Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.
  • Undertake plant stripdowns, rebuilds and component repairs.
  • Assist with small project works and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Perform PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with programmable logic controller (PLC) systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify faults, malfunctions or abnormalities and implement appropriate repairs or maintenance procedures to return the line to production.
  • Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Time served apprentice to NVQ3 in an engineering discipline.
  • At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Excellent health and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and manage changing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Hard‑working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Sound IT skills and a good standard of English and Maths.

Hours and Location

You will work 40 hours per week on a 12‑hour continental shift pattern (0600‑1800 and 1800‑0600) with 4 days on, 4 days off in alternating pattern and night shifts similarly.
