We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic educators to join our tuition team immediately. Successful candidates will provide vital support to primary and secondary pupils across Rhondda, working within environments committed to delivering exceptional education and opportunities for all learners. The Local Authority is passionate about fostering an inclusive and vibrant community, equipping students with the skills to progress confidently in their academic and career pathways. We are currently recruiting full-time tutors.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for proactive and passionate tutors who are committed to inspiring learners and maintaining high educational standards. Tutors will deliver personalised support in core subjects, study skills, well‐being, and pastoral care. Strong proficiency in Mathematics and Literacy is essential, as some pupils will be preparing for their GCSE examinations. All tutoring sessions are conducted on a one‐to‐one basis. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure consistent adherence to established procedures within this personalised learning environment.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Level 3 qualification or coaching certification related to education (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in learning support roles, including skills development, pastoral care, and well‐being support (desirable).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour‐management skills, with a proven ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to learner support and well‐being, adopting an inclusive, learner‐centred approach.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with young people, parents, external organisations, and educational staff.
