A highly respected, RCVS‐accredited veterinary practice in North Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Surgeon to take on a key leadership role within its progressive and supportive clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious veterinary professional looking to step into a senior clinical leadership position and develop towards future Clinical Director responsibilities.

With three branch practices and a central Tier 3 veterinary hospital, the group is known for its exceptional clinical standards, modern facilities, and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. The practice is ideally located close to the M4, within walking distance of the train station, and offers excellent transport links to the Cotswolds, Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, and London (approximately one hour by train).

The Role

  • Salary up to ÂŁ75,000
  • Full‐time position
  • 38‐hour working week (4‐day week, Monday–Friday)
  • Approximately 2 hours per week average contribution to weekend rota
  • Leadership‐focused Senior Veterinary Surgeon role within a growing clinical team

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high standard of clinical care across a varied and complex caseload in general practice
  • Provide direct support to the Clinical Director and deputise when required
  • Demonstrate strong veterinary leadership and act as a role model across the clinical team
  • Support clinical governance, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage workload and time effectively within a busy practice environment
  • Handle client concerns and complaints professionally, with empathy and resolution‐focused communication
  • Mentor and support colleagues, encouraging clinical development and confident decision‐making
