Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and the National Production System Manager, the Senior PS Manager will lead the implementation and ongoing development of the Production System strategy across the Government & Defence division. This role plays a key part in enabling the delivery of our wider business objectives by ensuring consistency, standardisation and operational excellence across all contracts.
In this influential position, you will guide and support local PS Managers, champion a positive and people focused culture, and actively contribute to shaping the future of our PS offering.
How you create impact- Lead the deployment of the Production System in alignment with Excellence 2.0, ensuring the successful delivery of long-term programme goals.
- Drive cost efficiencies and contract savings, clearly differentiating Production System benefits from continuous improvement activities.
- Oversee change management, innovation, benefits delivery, and new business initiatives to enhance overall customer service performance.
- Champion a positive, people focused culture across all sites, fully aligned with business strategy and vision.
- Ensure operational excellence by continuously reviewing processes, maintaining compliance with legislation and standards, and applying Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
- Build and develop improvement teams, embedding CI capability and best practice across the network.
- Maintain strong customer partnerships and support business development through value‐added service propositions.
- Proven track record in continuous improvement deployment (Lean / Six Sigma, BB certification preferred).
- Strong leadership experience in managing cross‐functional teams, employee development, and customer relations.
- Skilled in project management, budgetary control, KPI development, and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence at all levels.
- Capability in fostering employee engagement and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and legal standards.
- Delivery, training, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and drive adoption of CI practices.
- Strong analytical ability with spreadsheets and data interrogation to support decision‐making and performance improvement.
