High5 Recruitment is proud to represent a brand-new, therapeutic 2-bed children's home in Shropshire. We are seeking a high-calibre Deputy Manager to join a founding team. This is a unique opportunity to secure a Monday to Friday, 9-5 role while maintaining a high level of clinical and operational influence. Our ideal DM will be looking for a "stayer" β someone with a stable employment history who understands that consistency is the foundation of trauma-informed care.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the home in the absence of the Registered Manager (RM) and act as the RMβs right-hand; mentor a new staff team.
- Contribute to a trauma-informed care approach and maintain high standards of care and operation.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Minimum 18 months experience in either a Team Leader or Deputy Manager position within an Ofsted-regulated setting
- Thorough understanding of Children's Home Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards
- Valid UK Driving Licence with access to own vehicle
- Resilient manager who remains calm and focused under pressure; committed to doing what is right for the young people.
