Role Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate CNC machining centres equipped with HAAS, Mazatrol, Fanuc or Heidenhain controls within a medium to high-batch manufacturing environment.
- Apply strong tooling knowledge to develop and optimise cutting strategies suited to high-volume production.
- Produce high-tolerance components to customer and engineering specifications, especially for sectors such as automotive.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring components meet precise quality and dimensional requirements.
- Work safely and efficiently, in compliance with company Health, Safety, and Quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Time-served engineer with post-qualification experience in a technical machining environment.
- Proven ability to program HAAS CNC machinery.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining processes.
- Skilled in tooling selection, work holding methods, and cutting strategies for various materials, including exotic alloys.
- Capable of interpreting detailed drawings and producing fully conforming components.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a successful team.
- High commitment to Health & Safety and Quality standards.
