We are looking to appoint a Locum Consultant Paediatrician to provide acute paediatric and neonatal care at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary (RAEI) and associated outpatient clinics at Thomas Linacre, Leigh Infirmary, and Platt Bridge community sites. The post is a standard 10 PA generic post.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver acute paediatric and neonatal care at RAEI, including the self‑contained paediatric emergency care centre.
- Attend outpatient clinics at Thomas Linacre, Leigh Infirmary, and Platt Bridge community sites.
- Collaborate with visiting specialists in cardiology, neurology, nephrology, urology, rheumatology, and allergy for complex cases.
- Support paediatric surgical facilities at RAEI and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Ensure all acute children’s admissions are promptly assessed and managed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualified Consultant Paediatrician with equivalent experience.
- Current Enhanced DBS check with Children barred list clearance will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently as a locum.
