Optimised Care is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Locum Consultant in Elective Gynaecology to support the delivery of high-quality elective services within our growing healthcare organisation. The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of patients requiring elective gynaecological care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient gynaecology clinics for new and follow‑up patients.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for a wide range of gynaecological conditions.
- Manage post‑operative follow‑up appointments and recovery pathways.
- Provide expert advice and support to patients regarding treatment options and ongoing care.
- Ensure informed consent is obtained and documented appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
- Surgical Responsibilities
- Undertake elective procedures including: Laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis, Bilateral salpingo‑oophorectomy (BSO), Diagnostic hysteroscopy, Operative hysteroscopy, Mirena coil insertion and replacement, Endometrial assessment and biopsy procedures, Other elective gynaecological procedures within scope of practice and competency.

- Maximise theatre productivity and utilisation.
- Contribute to reducing patient waiting times.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient journeys.
- Support service development and pathway improvements.
- Clinical Governance
- Adhere to all GMC, CQC, and organisational standards.
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.

- Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
