About this job:
Fixed term post: Learning Support Assistant in our English Stream Grade 4 (pt 5) - 27.5 hrs per week (38 weeks plus pro-rata holiday entitlement). Duration: from as soon as possible until 12.26. Ysgol Trefonnen is a dual stream, voluntary controlled, community focussed Church in Wales school for children aged 4-11 years; some of our children learn entirely through the medium of Welsh and some through English. However, all our pupils share the common experience of living and learning in Wales.
Within the school building, we have seven classrooms, two pre-school Early Years groups (Welsh and English medium), two Welsh Government funded Flying Start settings, a beneficial Food & Fun Summer Holiday Club and a hugely successful Community Fridge.
We require a Learning Support Assistant to support the learning of pupils at Ysgol Trefonnen.
Responsibilities:
- Support the learning of pupils at Ysgol Trefonnen.
- Be highly motivated and able to form excellent relationships with children.
- Be a good communicator in English.
- Maintain high expectations of learning and behaviour.
- Work well as part of a team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Disclosures: Candidates will be required to undertake a disclosure and barring check.
- Enhanced DBS Check is a requirement for this position.
