- Assess vehicle damage accurately and prepare comprehensive repair estimates
- Coordinate repair operations with the workshop team to ensure timely completion
- Engage confidently with insurers, customers, and suppliers throughout the repair process
- Manage supplementary repair authorisations and negotiate costs effectively
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Utilise estimating systems such as Audatex and Thatcham Escribe
- Support the continuous improvement of repair procedures and techniques
- Requirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar Vehicle Damage Assessor role
- Valid ATA VDA Accreditation (preferred)
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle repair techniques across diverse makes and models
- Experience inspecting and assessing damaged vehicles
- Proficiency with estimating systems like Audatex and Thatcham Escribe
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and personal integrity
