Temporary Kitchen Porter. Oak Springs Care Home offers a role to support our kitchen and dining area. We provide 30 hours per week, 10:30am - 6:30pm on a rota basis, with possible variation in working days.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation, ensuring ingredients and tools are ready for the chefs.
- Clean and maintain cooking equipment such as pots, pans, mixers, and utensils.
- Manage the cleaning of cutlery, dishes, and cookware either by hand or using dishwashers.
- Maintain a spotless kitchen by sterilising countertops, ovens, grills, and sinks.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work closely with the kitchen and care staff to meet the needs of our residents.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is highly desirable; full training will be provided.
- Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
