This is a great opportunity to build your skills in community health while helping people make life‑changing improvements to their wellbeing. You’ll work as part of our friendly Stop Smoking team, supporting local people who want to become smoke‑free. Your role will make a real difference by offering personalised advice and practical help, both one‑to‑one and in group settings, and working closely with community partners and other health professionals.
What you’ll do:
- Provide tailored stop‑smoking support to individuals and groups
- Share clear, evidence‑based advice on how smoking affects health and how to quit
- Work with community partners and health professionals to coordinate support
- Keep accurate records, monitor progress and contribute to service improvement
- Help plan and deliver local health events and activities
What we’re looking for:
- Good communication skills and ability to build trust with diverse communities
- Ability to organise your workload and work independently when needed
- Experience working with people or community groups (paid or voluntary)
- Basic IT skills and a willingness to complete training, including the NCSCT programme
- Understanding of behaviour change or a willingness to learn
Benefits / Contract details:
