About the Client
Liverpool City Council’s Adult Social Care & Health Directorate (ASCH Operations) is committed to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred support to adults across the city. The service is fast‑paced, collaborative, and focused on ensuring residents receive timely, safe, and effective assessments and support.
The Role
The Social Care Assessor will work within a busy social work team, supporting adults aged 18 with a range of needs. You will complete statutory assessments and contribute to safe, effective case management under the guidance of a Senior Practitioner and Team Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Your Needs assessments, support plans, and mental capacity assessments.
- Manage a caseload of generic adult cases.
- Participate in the duty rota, completing urgent assessments as required.
- Work collaboratively with Social Workers, Social Care Assessors, and Senior Practitioners.
- Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with service standards.
- Attend regular supervision and contribute to team meetings.
- Work 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remotely.
Candidate Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Minimum 2 years’ references/work history.
- Criminal Convictions Declaration.
- Confidentiality Agreement.
- Experience within adult social care or a social work environment.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload in a busy operational team.
