The predicted salary is between 37338 - 44962 £ per year.

An exciting opportunity to join the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service in Knowsley as part of a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, therapists and support workers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of specialist and generic work, providing assessments, formulation and therapeutic interventions for children and young people.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop care plans in line with the THRIVE framework.
  • Coordinate care, ensuring effective assessment, planning and risk management processes are maintained.
  • Screen referrals to the service and make decisions about suitability.
  • Deliver treatment and discharge clients independently within supervisory, managerial and accountability structures.
  • Organise and chair multi‑agency meetings, involving children, families, referring agents and other professionals.
  • Provide supervision and caseload management to new EMHPs where required.
  • Lead engagement and participation events and support the whole‑school approach offer.
  • Use routine outcome measures clinically and contribute to the trust’s service‑user participation agenda.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external professionals, young people and families.
  • Clinical competence and experience in child and adolescent mental health, including risk assessment and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience delivering therapeutic interventions and working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of the THRIVE framework and local safeguarding policies.
  • Capacity to manage a caseload independently and exercise professional autonomy.
