Overview
We are seeking an experienced SEN English Teacher to join a brand new supportive independent school. You’ll lead lessons, manage behaviour, and support pupils of all abilities, helping them thrive in a positive, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils.
- Maintain a calm, structured, inclusive classroom that promotes learning and positive behaviour.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development across the school day.
- Adapt quickly to new settings following school routines and individual support plans.
- Assess progress and provide feedback, collaborating with colleagues to support learning.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in UK schools.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and confident working across year groups/subjects.
- Enhanced DBS (on Update Service) required prior to starting.
