The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Supervisor, working with our prestigious clients. If you have a passion for leading teams, ensuring high standards, and developing your career, we promise to provide full training and all the support you’ll need to help you succeed.
Location: Port of Liverpool, L21 1LA
Pay: £14.85 per hour
Hours: Average 50 hours per week, working on a rota basis (usually 3 days followed by 2 nights followed by 2 days off)
Nights will be 2000 – 0600hrs
Days will be either 0600 – 1600hrs or 0930 – 1930hrs
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve performance goals and maintain high standards
- Ensure colleague safety, providing a sense of assurance for all
- Oversee effective conflict management, always taking control of incidents
- Control access and egress, conducting security patrols to deter crime
- Proactively and professionally engage with the public
- Be aware of hazards and incidents, and respond appropriately
- Provide guidance, information, and direct customers as a first point of contact
- Manage and follow safety and security processes and procedures
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Train and mentor new hires, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
Is This You?
- SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence - Required to work in a licensable role
- Full UK Drivers Licence - Held for more than 2 years with less than 6 points on (Company vehicle provided to travel around site due to size of area covered)
- 5 years checkable work and address history
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a security environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance
- Friendly, approachable, and always professional
- Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job
- Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner
- Effective people skills, able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner
Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
