An exciting opportunity is available to work as a Post Foundation Fellow for 12 months at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role is aimed at candidates who have completed the Foundation programme or are preparing to apply for specialist training programmes.
Location and Duration: Emergency General Surgery Unit (EGSU) on the Aintree University Hospital site. Duration: 12 months.
Responsibilities:
- Spend time in designated specialties, working alongside consultants and teams to provide high‑quality patient care.
- Gain high‑volume emergency general surgery experience and exposure to major trauma as part of the Merseyside and Cheshire Major Trauma Centre.
- Participate in teaching and research activities of the department.
- Take part in the on‑call rota, including night shifts and weekends where applicable.
Mentorship and Support: Allocated an Educational Supervisor who will provide support and mentoring, with regular one‑to‑one meetings.
Qualifications: Completed or are preparing to complete the Foundation programme. Motivated to consolidate CV prior to applying for core training.
