Liverpool Full-Time No working from home possible

One minute you're helping build the world's tallest tower.

The next you're reading the same story for the third time, finding a missing shoe or celebrating because someone has finally managed to put their own coat on.

Working in Early Years is full of small moments that are actually pretty important.

We're working with a welcoming nursery in Aigburth that's looking for a Nursery Assistant to join its friendly team, supporting children from babies through to pre-school.

If you're warm, enthusiastic and happiest when you're getting involved rather than watching from the sidelines, you could be exactly who they're looking for.

You'll help create an environment where children feel safe enough to explore, play, communicate and gradually become more independent.

That might mean getting involved in messy play, stories and creative activities one moment and providing reassurance, helping with lunch or settling a tired little one the next.

You'll be:

Supporting children aged 0-5 throughout their nursery day.

Getting involved in play-based learning and age-appropriate activities.

Encouraging communication, confidence and social interaction.

Helping children develop independence through everyday routines.

Supporting meals, naps and personal care when required.

Noticing and celebrating children's progress and achievements.

Building positive relationships with children and their families.

Working alongside experienced Early Years professionals.

Maintaining appropriate records and following safeguarding procedures.

Experience in a nursery or Early Years environment would be great, and a relevant Childcare or Early Years qualification is welcomed.

But just as important is how you are with children.

You'll need to be patient, dependable and genuinely interested in helping young children develop.

You'll be comfortable getting down to their level, joining in with their play and responding calmly when the day doesn't quite go according to plan.

You'll also need good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.

  • Support from a welcoming and experienced nursery team
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Valuable experience across the 0-5 age range
  • The opportunity to develop your Early Years career
  • A role where the progress you help children make is something you can see every day If you want a job where no two days are quite the same
  • and where the little things you do can have a surprisingly big impact
  • we'd love to hear from you.
