Position Overview

Location: Bootle, Liverpool

Hourly Rate: £12.80 - £12.90

We are looking for CPI‑trained individuals to join our dedicated team in Bootle, supporting adults with mental health challenges and complex behaviours in a supported living setting. If you’re able to stay calm under pressure and put people at the heart of your care, this role could be perfect for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide tailored support that promotes independence and well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Using de‑escalation techniques to safely manage behaviours that challenge
  • Providing personal care with dignity and sensitivity
  • Assisting with daily living activities
  • Administering medication and keeping accurate records
  • Recognising and responding to triggers calmly and professionally
  • Delivering one‑to‑one support during lone working shifts, following detailed care plans
  • Encouraging independence and boosting confidence at every opportunity

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 months’ experience supporting adults with mental health needs and challenging behaviour in the UK
  • Current CPI certification with confidence in de‑escalation strategies
  • Competence in medication administration
  • Strong observational and communication skills
  • Experience working independently, including lone shifts
  • Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service)
