Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an Estates team that is working closely to ensure statutory compliance and building fabric standards are maintained across all the Trusts sites.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of a multitasking maintenance team providing professional and technical expertise with an effective and efficient focus on service delivery.
  • Carry out or oversee the repair, maintenance or installation of complex plant and equipment associated with premises administered by the Trusts Estates department.
  • Perform a multi‑skilled approach, including the full range of duties associated with the post holder’s core trade.
  • Maintain personal appearance in line with the Trust dress code.
  • Uphold the Trust’s values and behave in a manner fitting the responsibilities of the role.
  • Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff, respecting equality and diversity.
  • Carry out day‑to‑day repairs, planned maintenance and improvements to the Trusts buildings in accordance with statutory regulations and codes of practice.
  • Install, repair and remove heating and water systems within the Trust.
  • Participate in emergency on‑call duties and cross‑site working as required by contractual obligation.
  • Apply good diagnostic and fault‑finding skills, and read/interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Understand the work of other trades to support departmental flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Knowledge of the work of other trades relevant to the Estates department.
