Darbyshire House is Supported Accommodation for 45 Adults experiencing homelessness. Come and join a diverse staff team and be part of delivering a high-quality programme to transform lives.

We are looking to recruit a Homeless Resettlement Worker (known internally as a Support Worker), who is motivated, person centred, keen to work as part of a team to deliver great results and ultimately make a positive difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote choice by working in partnership with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to meet the diverse needs of service users and break down barriers in accessing more permanent housing.
  • Work in line with all relevant legislation and guidelines to protect service users, staff and visitors from any abuse, accident, or injury.
  • Maintaining and developing day to day office duties and provide administrative support.
  • Document and maintain factual service records relating to customer welfare, support, and any Health & safety matters.
  • Respect the diversity of other people’s culture, faith, and practice.
  • Understand and work within the Mission and Values of The Salvation Army.
  • Support the Spiritual Programme running within the service where required.
  • Any other duties as reasonably expected of someone in the fulfilment of this role.
