We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and dynamic nurse with experience working in community dialysis at band 6 / 7 levels to lead our Home Therapies team across two sites in the Liverpool area. The role involves traveling between sites, providing community support and serving as both a senior nurse clinical advisor and a manager of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high‑performing Home Therapies team, ensuring the delivery of high standards of nursing care.
- Provide senior clinical support and expertise on home dialysis programmes, including training and education for patients and carers.
- Develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care, ensuring continuous improvement and patient safety.
- Lead staff management, development and performance reviews.
- Support clinical nurse specialists in patient counselling and uphold professional practice within the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Act as the clinical expert and professional resource to the multi‑professional team, patients and carers.
- Collaborate with the Home Therapies nursing lead and lead clinician to grow service capacity and meet the 20% target for home therapy among renal replacement therapy patients.
- Develop new roles and ways of working (High Impact Changes) linked to directorate business plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- Band 6 / 7 community dialysis nurse experience, with comprehensive dialysis expertise.
- Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills, able to inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong commercial and program development mindset, with evidence of driving new roles or processes.
- Commitment to high quality care delivery and continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient‑centred approach.
