Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Support with mobility, including safe transfers and use of mobility aids
  • Help with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining adequate nutrition and hydration
  • Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans and company policy
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
  • Support clients with attending appointments or social activities where required
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in a client’s condition
  • Follow care plans and risk assessments to ensure safe and effective care delivery
  • Adhere to safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential (full training provided)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of health and safety and safeguarding principles

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential)
  • Willingness to undertake training and development

  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable, depending on role)
