We are seeking two experienced Heads of Department (SEN Teachers) for Pathway One and Two and for the Sixth Form at Birtenshaw School, Merseyside. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Lead the development of the school’s curriculum in a forward‑thinking manner.
  • Manage teaching staff and ensure that all teaching standards are met.
  • Play an active role in the overall development of the school.
  • Ensure all legislation and Ofsted requirements are followed and met.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • Experience in SEN or special education preferred.
