Equans is looking for a Cost Coordinator to join our team based in Speke on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £29,875 and benefits package. Being a part of the Knowsley School contract and reporting to the Account Manager, you will coordinate all finance-based administrative support to the Senior Management Team.
Responsibilities:
- Production of regular routine reports and financial statistical data for the senior management team and finance business partner.
- Regular liaison with the finance business partner relating to effective management of profit and loss.
- Coordination of financial work in progress (WIP).
- Collate and submit the monthly application for payment. Invoice once approved.
- Align monthly tasks to finance timetable.
- Identify and report on any deadlines that cannot be met and their financial implication.
- Control of ‘goods received’ pursuit of invoices from EQUANS supply chain.
- Investigating invoices submitted eligible for payment/dispute.
- Assisting supply chain with outstanding invoices arrears.
- Overseeing all aspects of purchase order receipting in COUPA.
- Key liaison with external and internal finance functions.
- Ensure all contract variations eligible billed at the agreed fee in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Actively monitor and chase debt, resolving any queries leading to non-payment.
- Carry out other duties requested by the Account Manager to maintain the effective support of the Contract Management Team.
- Maintain electronic based filing systems.
- Weekly review of potential billable items and accrual reports awaiting invoice submissions.

Qualifications:
- Background knowledge of finance-based functions within a similar area.
- Strong organisational skills and willingness to adapt to a high-paced work environment.
- Competence of all Microsoft Office functions (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Incentivised approach to problem solving.
- Experience within the FM industry would be ideal but not essential.
- This role includes an Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
