We are looking for a motivated and reliable Estate Technician to join our client’s team in Kirkby, Liverpool. This hands‑on role is essential in maintaining the condition and presentation of void properties and surrounding outdoor spaces. You will play a key role in preparing properties for new tenants or contractors, ensuring high standards are met across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect a company transit van and travel to various sites as required (working as part of a team, you may not be required to drive on every shift).
  • Remove fly‑tipping, general waste and building debris from properties and land.
  • Carry out grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning and jet washing.
  • Clear and clean void properties, including those left in poor condition.
  • Handle sensitive situations, including properties vacated due to eviction or bereavement.
  • Work alongside housing officers, social workers and other professionals in vulnerable cases.
  • Assist with clearing properties affected by severe neglect or fire damage.
  • Conduct basic machine maintenance, including cleaning equipment, performing routine checks, and arranging repairs when necessary.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure properties are safe, clean and ready for the next stage of occupancy or refurbishment.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and carry waste materials.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence with experience driving a transit van.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and respect.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
