Contracted Hours per week: 40 hrs
Working Days: Monday – Friday. If the business requires it there is an opportunity for extra hours on a Wednesday and Thursday.
Hours: 8am – 6pm (30 mins lunch)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist in preparing and distributing prescribed medications to patients.
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescriptions in line with pharmacy regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Assist the pharmacist in checking stock levels, managing inventory, and ordering medicines and supplies.
- Enter orders, fill prescriptions, and ensure that the Pharmacist has verified and approved the prescription before handing the medication off to the patient.
Skills Required
- Responsible, accurate and methodical
- Experience in using the software ProScript would be an advantage
- Community pharmacy experience
- Able to pay attention to detail.
- Able to read and carry out instructions.
- To be interested in people’s health.
- Able to explain clearly to members of the public.
- Excellent communication, customer service, IT and skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
