The Fertility Service is seeking a Clinical Fellow (Locally Employed Doctor) in Reproductive Medicine to join the teams working across the Hewitt Fertility Centres at both the Liverpool and Knutsford sites. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term post, with the possibility of extension, created to complement the existing medical workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering high‑quality care as part of a multidisciplinary team at the Hewitt Fertility Centres, based at Liverpool Women’s Hospital and at the Knutsford site.
- Work flexibly according to service needs, including clinical sessions, cross‑site clinic cover, and daytime weekend work.
- Strengthen the current team within the Reproductive Medicine Department across both Liverpool and Knutsford.
Training and Development
The Hewitt Fertility Centres are recognised training centres for fertility and reproductive medicine by the British Fertility Society (BFS) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). All doctors will undergo a training needs assessment at the start of their post, which will be used to develop a competency‑based training plan for the duration of their fellowship.
Training opportunities include:
- Ultrasound for reproductive medicine (including HyCoSy)
- Fertility and andrology
- Basic and complex IVF
- Transvaginal oocyte recovery
- Intrauterine insemination
- Embryo transfer
- Surgical sperm retrieval
